System Requirements

Macintosh:   CrystMol™ 2.1 requires a Power Macintosh running MacOS X 10.2 or later (MacOS X 10.3.3 or later is highly recommended).  The final validation of Version 2.1 of CrystMol was performed using MacOS X 10.3.7.

Windows:   CrystMol™ 2.1 requires a Pentium III Intel processor or later running Windows XP or later. CrystMol should also run on Windows 2000 but this has not been tested. The final validation of Version 2.1 of CrystMol was performed using Windows XP, Home Edition.

General: At least 64 megabytes of memory is recommended; 128 MB or higher is preferred. Disk space requirements are modest, under 40 Mb for installation, and an additional 50 Mb for reasonable use. Manipulation of displayed structures is greatly facilitated by an advanced graphics card providing high throughput support for OpenGL, but such a card is not required.

CrystMol 2.1 requires a current version of QuickTime, which may be downloaded free (Macintosh or Windows) from the Apple web site - http://www.apple.com/. An installer for QuickTime is on the CrystMol 2.1 Windows version CD. Adobe Reader (or its previous incarnation Acrobat Reader 4.0 or later) is required to display CrystMol documentation. Adobe Reader is free, and can be downloaded from the Adobe Web site - http://www.adobe.com/.

Demo Version Download

You are invited to download a fully functional time-limited demo version of CrystMol 2.1.  The demo version will operate for four hours of up time or one month of elapsed time, whichever occurs first.  At that time you should purchase a license to continue to use CrystMol.
